Cambodian National Assembly Accepts Two Draft Laws Proposed by the Royal Government for Review

On Monday morning, 2 September 2024, Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sodary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to review and approve several agendas.

After discussions, the Standing Committee decided to accept both draft laws proposed by the Royal Government. These drafts will be submitted to the National Assembly Specialized Commissions for further review, study, and reporting back to the Standing Committee. The two draft laws are as follows:

1.  Draft Law on Wastewater System; and

2.  Draft Law on the Approval of the Kingdom of Cambodia as a Party to the Agreement concerning the Adoption of Harmonized Technical United Nations Regulations for Wheeled Vehicles, Equipment, and Parts which can be Fitted and/or Used on Wheeled Vehicles and the Conditions for Reciprocal Recognition of Approvals Granted on the Basis of these United Nations Regulations.
